Our head coach, Jon, has been busy collecting all the club’s used tennis balls and turning them into funds while also recycling along the way. Win-win!
The balls will be sent to the team at Recycaball, who are now paying a very generous 30p per ball and donate them to such charities as Save The Children, NSPCC, Barnado’s, RSPCA and Guide Dogs.
They also make cash donations to a range of worthwhile causes, including Make A Wish, Cancer Research UK, the British Heart Foundation and The Alzheimer’s Society.
It’s easy to help out. Once a ball has lost pressure and is no longer ‘match fit’, make sure you place it in the wooden box at the far end of the patio.
